LED Flower Fountain – Getting Started

Discover your brand-new Catit LED Flower Fountain thanks to these tips and tricks

Some cats get a little too curious when they first see their new LED Flower Fountain and use their paws to swat at the streams, so be aware that your floor could get a little wet during those first few days.

LED Flower Fountain

IMPORTANT: What to do first?

Before assembling the LED Flower Fountain, please make sure to prepare the following components:

Pump
– disassemble and rinse the pump.

Filter
– vigorously shake and tap the dry filter on a hard surface to prevent the granules inside from clumping together.
– thoroughly rinse the filter to prevent black sediment from leaking into your fountain.
– submerge the filter in a bucket of water and press on the cotton mesh so the air can escape. This will prevent the filter from floating

Don’t forget to read the manual that was included with your cat fountain or download the instruction manual here.

Maintenance

How do I clean the LED Flower Fountain?

Always unplug or disconnect the pump from the electrical supply with dry hands before putting on or taking off parts and whenever the pump is being installed, maintained or handled. Wash and rinse the fountain with warm water, a soft sponge and a non-abrasive cleanser. Rinse thoroughly, ensuring no soapy residue is left. Remove the filter from the base and rinse. Do not wash the filter with soap. If the filter contains excess debris or other foreign matter, replace it (replacement filters sold separately). The filter should be replaced every 3 to 4 weeks or when there are visible signs that the filter is saturated with foreign matter (debris, food, hair, etc.) or if the water flow is impeded.
More frequent changes may be necessary due to indoor environmental and water conditions, as well as multiple pet use. Please clean the top parts of the LED Flower Fountain regularly to prevent limescale formation.

How do I clean the LED Flower Fountain pump?

The pump should be removed from the fountain and disassembled for cleaning on a biweekly basis. For instructions, watch the video above. Rinse each part separately with water before reassembling.

Why is there black sediment in my fountain?

The black sediment is active carbon that leaked from the filter. The black discharge can be prevented by rinsing the filter thoroughly under the tap for several minutes before placing it inside the LED Flower Fountain.

Which replacement filters do I need?

The LED Flower Fountain should be used with the Triple Action Filters, which are sold in packs of 2, packs of 5 and packs of 12.
